It’s quite funny how you say Rei NEVER suggested trying doing other things than training to Touya & did NOTHING for Touya and then you see panels of her suggesting Touya go play with his classmates for once and trying to talk to Touya and you still go “she does nothing” 😂🤣 she DID suggest Touya do something else other then training and she DID try to talk to him, but she tried ONCE and gave up! Like I don’t disagree, she is an awful mum but your saying she did nothing and she never suggested other things to Touya when that panel that person shared literally has her suggesting he does something else - she just gave up after one try and that was it!

And that was her only input on the Touya situation 😂!

The thing is Enji was a bad dad, more so later on than at the beginning with Touya because he tried with Touya. He developed into a bad(slightly abusive) dad, especially when it comes to Shouto, as the years went by but it’s not simply a “oh he’s a bad dad” “Rei’s a good mum” because 1) Rei was not a good mum, she was also very neglectful(peeps always want to say Enji was neglectful, and he was but she was too) and she physically scarred Shouto(I don’t care that it was a mental break she still scarred him physically and emotionally) and 2) Enji didn’t develop into a bad dad simply because he’s an awful person, there’s reasons and explanations to why he became bad and that of course doesn’t excuse or justify his behaviour but people need to look at the situation with a tiny bit more nuance!

Same anon - not going to lie I did re-read your response, and re-read this part - If anything, it only means he trained Shouto harder so he’d be successful and have the skills and control to not hurt himself, something Touya never achieved even in the current time. 😭 I did read it when I first read the response but it went over my head like an idiot, I apologise!
